The Jewish New Year is a time to reflect on the previous year, make amends to God, friends and family, and pray for a good, sweet and blessed year to come.
The Jewish New Year is celebrated over two days starting on the eve of the New Year and ending at sundown the day following the New Year. In 2012 Rosh Hashana is celebrated from sundown Sept 16 to sundown Sept 18.
We will have separate posts on the various symbols of Rosh Hashanah: apples dipped in Honey, pomegranate, shofar, wine, and Rosh Hashana greetings.
